After The Summit

Just for today... Friday, October 17, 2014 after a delicious lunch at the NAVUG Summit, sitting in the lobby of the Majestic ballroom collecting my thoughts, I decided to start this blog, The Journey To 2K15.

My mind is racing with all I have heard, seen, learned, enjoyed and ate at the summit this week.  In the midst of all of this is the thought that after the days events, the plane ride home to Ohio, the reunion with my family and a little bit of relaxation....our journey to 2K15 begins!

Monday, October 20, 2014 at 7:30 AM I will arrive back at my desk, armed with notes, trinkets, a fresh outlook on our Navision software, coffee in hand, there I will sit down and turn on my computer and know that today is the first day of our journey to 2K15!  (by the way the chocolate covered espresso beans, stress ball robot and NAVUG slinky are my favorites trinkets from the summit in case you wanted to know)

Monday is marked as the project start date.  October 20th 2015 marks day one of our six month journey to Go Live - NAV 2015 at American Ring.  I am not just a passenger along for the ride on this trip I am co-pilot with, Bridget Morrissey, also my partner in crime at the NAVUG Summit.  Monday morning we will talk with our partner, Jeff Rassie from Western Computer and begin the analysis phase of the re-implementation.

After being "newbies" at the NAVUG Summit, and learning so much from others experiences, we have decided to take anyone and everyone interested in our journey along for the ride with us over the next six months.  We promise to share the events of our journey, good or bad, the high points and low points, the exciting days and the boring days, and at the end we hope you are there to celebrate with us on Go Live day.

You may come along to learn with us along the way, you may come along just for the pure humor and entertainment Bridget and I can be.  But we do hope you choose to come along with us on our journey to 2K15!
